The Men’s Group begins another session soon . . .

A Life Well-Lived: An Adult Development Group for Men

This 8-week group explores classic theories of adult development, results from the famous Harvard Grant Study and recent developments in the psychology of happiness. We'll also integrate Dr. Thomas Doherty’s application of environmental sustainability to personal health and identity.

Topics include models of adult development; how relationships and sexuality evolve through life; understanding life through the lens of myth and story; spirituality and sense of purpose, and research on happiness and fulfillment. Scroll down for a detailed list of group topics and readings.

This group is for men who:

  • Want to a more complete understanding of their adult lives
  • Are growing older and want to get out in front of this process rather than reacting to it or denying it
  • Are experiencing important life changing events: Love, marriage, births, deaths, divorce, illness, and confronting their own mortality
  • Who want to support their own personal growth projects or individual or couples counseling work

"My wife says she feels I'm more mature as a result of this group."

— Men's Group Participant, age 53
